Getting Started with Debra
From my office in northern Colorado, I work with clients from through-out the state and country, in person as well as via phone sessions.
All new adoptive family clients begin their individual, couple, or family Transformational Psychotherapy™ sessions with me through my specialized program Healing Adoption Wounds.
Healing Adoption Wounds includes:

A specified number of appointments, including a specified amount of time in individual, couple and/or family sessions with me, per your personalized program.
Most sessions are 1.5 hours long, and occur weekly. Sessions including parents and children together may be longer, depending on the needs and issues involved.

Transformational Psychotherapy™ and Healing Parenting Coaching™ specifically custom-tailored to you, directed toward healing and resolving the ROOT CAUSES underlying the problems your children experience as a result of their adoption.
All families participating in Healing Adoption Wounds include sessions with parents to assist you in releasing the stress you experience individually, and if married, possibly in your marriage, related to raising an adopted child, as well as coaching you in using Healing Parenting™ principles and techniques with your children. For those in two-parent families, both parents are required to participate.
This is the transformative, life and relationship-changing centerpiece of Transformational Psychotherapy and Coaching programs; EXCLUSIVELY available to those in personalized programs with me.

Why New Clients begin in Specialized Programs
You may be wondering why I only work with new clients in a specialized program. This is a great question! I feel so happy for the opportunity to share the reasons for this policy.
The quick and simple answer is that while Transformational Psychotherapy™ works more deeply, and more quickly than conventional talk therapy, it still takes time to achieve your dreams.
The more complete answer is that Transformational Psychotherapy™ goes to the root causes for the problems in a client's life and relationships, and harnesses the unseen spiritual power for healing them, and then replacing them with patterns of success, happiness, fulfillment and achievement.
The unseen spiritual power for success is encapsulated and summarized by what I call Universal Laws. Learning the Universal Laws, and learning how to apply them in your life, in your family relationships, and helping your children learn them, is the second major component of healing, and of learning how to become a Conscious Co-creator of the happy, fulfilling life and family relationships you dream of for your family and your child.
This is so important that if a client or family only accesses the first part, that is, if a client only finds and releases the underlying root causes of their problems, WITHOUT learning how to consciously apply the Universal Laws, the healing and change will not be complete and lasting. It will not be fully Transformational.
Universal Laws are principles of creation that apply universally. Just as the Law of Gravity, a Physical Universal Law, applies to everyone all the time, so the Spiritual Universal Laws apply to all people, across all cultures and times.
Among the very first of these hidden, spiritual principles of power is the Law of Commitment.
By only accepting new clients on a program basis, I am supporting you to access the unseen spiritual power of the Spiritual Law of Commitment. I am supporting you to step up to a high level of commitment to yourself and your family, and to achieving your dream. The German poet-philosopher Goethe said it best:

How to Get Started
For those who are ready now to consider working with me in a personalized program of your own, this is my two-step process to support you in making your choice:
Step One is a brief, 15-minute phone call. During this brief call:
 We'll briefly get acquainted, and discuss the Initial Consultation process,
including what is included, and how you can prepare to gain maximum
value from it
We'll "tune in" to each other over the phone, to see if we have good rappo
& consider moving on to Step 2
You'll consider your fiscal possibility
There is NO-Cost for this 15 minute phone call.
Step Two is the Initial Consultation.
For those whom we both feel there is a good connection, & who are serious and ready now to begin healing the adoption-related trauma in their family, I offer a limited number of low-cost Initial Consultations.
Initial Consultations are 45 - 50 minutes in length,
held either via phone or in person (for those in my local area)
Include a brief laser coaching and insightful, energizing
Visioning Worksheet self-assessment, and family checklist.
At the conclusion of your Initial Consultation, if I am confident I can assist you
and your children, I will invite you to enroll.
Together, we will determine your program length.
The fee for your Initial Consultation is $45.00,
payable at the time of scheduling your Initial Consultation appointment.
Program Fees and Length
Your personalized Healing Adoption Wounds program fee includes all the program elements described above. Depending on the number of people in your family participating, the fee range is $730.00 - $907.00 per month.
Four months is the minimum length of time I have found that families need in the program; your program length of course, is highly dependent on your family and the experiences and needs of both parents and children. At the completion of your initial program, if you would like to continue on a month-to-month basis to address other concerns, or schedule appointments as needed, that is available.
Payment is accepted via MasterCard, Visa, Discover, or PayPal, with your first month’s payment made at the time of scheduling your first appointment. A 3% fee reduction is honored for those clients paying their full program fee via check at the time of enrolling and scheduling their first appointment.
The details specific to your program are summarized in your Client Agreement, for your easy reference.
Please note that all program fees change periodically. Once you are enrolled, your program fee is guaranteed, and will not increase for you through the completion of the appointments in your program.
