Tired of the stress & struggle in your life or relationships?
|
Yearn for less hassle and more happiness day to day?
As an active LDS woman, do you ~
- Privately wish you had more joy in your life?
- Feel angry or discouraged that you don’t?
- Feel discouraged because you try to live the Gospel the best you can, and you still feel stressed or unhappy too much of the time?
Does trying to do it all, living up to the picture of perfection of other LDS women you know, leave you feeling exhausted, depleted or burned out?
Do you feel worried what others in your ward might think of you if they knew you struggled with
- Depression
- Anger
- Anxiety
- Problems in your family growing up such as addictions or abuse
- Sometimes question your own worth
- Relationship problems with your husband or kids
- GUILT over something you have done, or
- GUILT because you haven’t been able to forgive someone else
Do you wish you had someplace to go to talk about your REAL feelings, and REAL experiences day to day, without worrying about:
- Being discussed in ward leadership meetings?
- Feeling that others treat you differently, if you share your personal or family challenges with them?

You are not alone!
You might be amazed to know how many LDS women have felt similarly to you!
In fact, through the years I have practiced as an LDS therapist specializing in women's life issues, I have helped thousands of other LDS women with these kinds of challenges.
I can certainly relate from my own life experiences too! Years ago, I also experienced the gamut from depression and painful childhood memories, not to mention two past divorces as an active member of the family-focused LDS church, and guilt, guilt, guilt because I wasn’t perfect enough, fast enough.
Through the years I have been very blessed personally and professionally to learn some things about HOW to live joyfully day to day, even now as a mortal being. I want to share some of these things with other LDS women who sometimes struggle with their own mortality, your own humanness.
While many of my therapy clients through the years have been and continue to be LDS women, I see and hear so many more struggling with these and similar issues. As I have thought about this, I have felt a desire to reach out and share what I have been blessed to receive with even more LDS women.
How? I have been asking and praying. The answer came: start an LDS women’s life coaching group.

Here it is ~ Joy in the Journey! The LDS Women’s Transformational Coaching™ Group!
In this 8-session life coaching group, you will learn and experience practical, gospel-friendly principles for HOW to create more peace and happiness in your personal life and relationships.
I call these principles the Universal Laws of Life, and they are just that. And just like the Universal Laws that apply to the physical world such as gravity, which apply to everyone all the time, these Universal Laws also apply to everyone all the time.
Another way to think of them is the instruction manual for successful, happy living. Many wish we had received such a manual, but somehow many of us missed that day. These Universal Laws comprise that manual, teaching you the unseen principles of power for creating more happiness, peace and fulfillment in your life right now, day to day.
|
These principles or Universal Laws for Life are gospel-friendly;
in fact, as you will discover, they are in the scriptures.
|
Because this is a life coaching group, we will go beyond a discussion of the Universal Laws. You will also have an opportunity to experience them, and explore beliefs and experiences in your life, related to them.
You will also experience enlightening and insightful activities to assist you to learn them consciously, and most importantly, learn how to apply them intentionally to assist you in creating more happiness, more peace, more love, more THRIVING in your life.
Not only that, but in our 8-session Transformational life coaching group, you will also learn awesome, fun and amazing Transformational self-help tools and techniques to assist you to:
- Release in-the-moment stress, hurt feelings and anger
- Put to rest your Inner Critic and Inner Saboteur
- Step out of the perfectionism rat-race
- Learn how to say no when you need to, without guilt
- Experience more happiness and peace in your daily life
- Learn to trust and to LOVE yourself
- More!
Solutions for Patterns of Struggle in Your Life
In addition to experiencing the Universal Laws of Life, and an abundance of Transformational self-help techniques, each session will focus on a theme. These themes come up again and again for LDS women, and as we discuss them, participants will discover new ideas and solutions, including how to apply the Universal Laws and self-care techniques, as they relate to these topics.
I am sure you will relate to these themes, which include:
- Relationships, Relationships, Relationships!
- The Depleting Trio: Depression, Guilt, and Overwhelm
- Taking Care of My Family, My Calling, My Visiting Teaching, My Job, and Me: Finding Balance and Setting Boundaries with Love
- Dealing with in-the-moment Anger, Hurt-feelings and Stress
- The Persona of the Perfect Mormon Family
- Who Am I, and What Do I Do with My Life, Now?
- The Dangers of Comparisons: Stepping out of the Perfectionism Rat-race

"How is this coaching group different than a peer-led support or study group?"

That is a great question! Whereas peer-led support and/or study groups often have an open agenda, open time-frame and loose if any structure, this life coaching group is structured, focused and time-limited.
In addition to giving and recieving support and encouragement as part of this LDS women's life coaching group, we will also maintain:
- Focus
- Forward momentum
- Goal directedness
- Opportunity for accountability partnerships.
These are all hall-marks of life coaching, and some of the reasons why life coaching is so beneficial and effective.
More and more highly successful and accomplished people regularly invest in life or business coaching to assist them to achieve their next level of success and happiness.
|
In the Joy in the Journey! LDS Women’s Transformational Coaching™ Group you will experience support in a setting of:
- Emotional safety
- Confidentiality
- Unconditional love
while we then go beyond that to focus on supporting you in learning and applying practical principles and skills for creating more happiness day to day, without getting bogged down in the common challenges, sidetracks, and dissipating energy of many peer-led support groups.
"How is this life coaching group different than therapy?"
Transformational Coaching™ is essentially founded on the premise that all of us are innately whole and healed, that we have the inner wisdom, strength and resources we need to accomplish our goals, and learn to live successfully, and that sometimes we need additional encouragement, information and skills to do so. Coaching provides information, encouragement, motivation and skills.
Transformational Psychotherapy™, as I founded and practice it, is also based on the essential truth that we are all innately whole and healed - our spirits are whole and always have been, and always will be.
Sometimes, life experiences whether in our own lives, or the lives of our family members, others or previous generations, lead us to believe and feel otherwise deep within us. We acquire wounds, as a result of our life experiences or those of others whose influence affects us.
From these wounds, we reach erroneous conclusions about ourselves, our families, our relationships, the world, the way the world works, what we can expect, what we deserve, what we are capable of, etc. We acquire fears, and many experience traumas, which limit us and hold us back, and bring us great sorrow and pain.
When this happens, we disconnect from our innate wholeness and innocence.
Transformational Psychotherapy™, whether for individuals, couples or groups, finds and heals the underlying reasons and root causes for the pain, sorrow, depression, relationship problems, anger or whatever other patterns of pain and struggle a person or couple has. This is therapy, not coaching.
Transformational Psychotherapy™ finds and heals these root causes, and assists clients to remember and reclaim their innate wholeness, innocence and goodness.
